- About IBD Warrior Life
From Patient to IBD Warrior
- My Story
The Moment That
Changed Everything
2017
It was 2017. I had just recovered from surgery to remove a third of my colon and 15 cm of my small intestine. Questions swirled in my head: "What happens now? How will I live on? Will it come back?"
THE DIAGNOSIS
The gastroenterologist said the words that changed my life: "It's confirmed. You have Crohn's disease."
THE SPARK
At that moment, I had no idea what it meant. I didn't know anyone with this disease. I felt fear, uncertainty... but also something else – the desire to fight.
- CHAPTER 2
Chaos and Uncertainty
But then I made a decision that changed everything...
What can I eat?
Can I function normally at work?
Will I be able to support my family?
Can I prevent it from coming back?
- TURNING POINT
When I Stopped Being a Victim
01
I'm not alone in this.
Thousands of people live with IBD, and many of them lead full lives.
02
The disease is treatable.
Although not curable, it can be maintained in remission.
03
I can turn this to my advantage.
This disease can make me stronger.
And it works. I've been in remission for 7.5 years.
