The Moment That
Changed Everything

“I opened my eyes. I was lying in a room full of light and beeping sounds…”

2017

It was 2017. I had just recovered from surgery to remove a third of my colon and 15 cm of my small intestine. Questions swirled in my head: "What happens now? How will I live on? Will it come back?"

THE DIAGNOSIS

The gastroenterologist said the words that changed my life: "It's confirmed. You have Crohn's disease."

THE SPARK

At that moment, I had no idea what it meant. I didn't know anyone with this disease. I felt fear, uncertainty... but also something else – the desire to fight.

Chaos and Uncertainty

I was in the hospital for three weeks. When they let me go home, I started looking for answers:
I felt lost. I had more questions than answers. I didn’t know if I would ever feel normal.

But then I made a decision that changed everything...

What can I eat?

Can I function normally at work?

Will I be able to support my family?

Can I prevent it from coming back?

When I Stopped Being a Victim

After months of searching, I came across a community of IBD patients – Slovak Crohn Club. For the first time in my life, I met people who understood me.

01

I'm not alone in this.

Thousands of people live with IBD, and many of them lead full lives.

02

The disease is treatable.

Although not curable, it can be maintained in remission.

03

I can turn this to my advantage.

This disease can make me stronger.

From that moment on, I started experimenting, learning, and testing. I educated myself about mental health, diet, physical activity, sleep, stress…

And it works. I've been in remission for 7.5 years.

Why I'm Here: My Mission

After years of creating my own system for living with IBD, I realized one thing: most newly diagnosed patients experience exactly what I experienced chaos, fear, uncertainty.

That's why IBDWarriorLife was created.

My Mission

To help IBD patients around the world live more fulfilled, fulfilling and happier lives with this disease without unnecessary suffering, fear and uncertainty.

My Vision

To create a global community of IBD Warriors who support each other, share experiences, and inspire each other – because no one should be alone.
